Richard Allman: Tamarama
Director: Richard Allman
Richard Allman uses the flow and tidal reach of the river, but takes the position from above the water from a river cruise.
Tamarama is an animated journey through the Tamar Valley from the river, capturing the natural beauty of the upper tidal reaches to the modern industrial landscape of the Tamar bridges and naval dockyards. In his first animation, Richard Allman uses his unique drawing style to capture the essence of this historic waterway which marks the boundary between Devon and Cornwall.
“Richard is an incredible draughtsman and for the first time the River Tamar Project has challenged him to make a film with his drawings and as a local artist reflecting on his years of work understanding this landscape and documenting its change and the extensive regeneration of the waters edge.”
