Aretha Franklin, Bono and Mick Jagger all attest to the mystery and magnetism of Muscle Shoals Sound Studio on the Tennessee River. Discover how some of the most creative and defiant music in history has been influenced by this unique community on the “Singing River”.

This screening will be accompanied by two shorts celebrating the creative talent on the River Tamar:

The Hall

The Hall – The premiere of Melanie Manchot’s film offering an intimate portrait of modern life played out in our community hubs on the banks of the Tamar.

Viva – The story of Cornwall’s grandmother of punk, Viva Hamnell, as told by award winning documentary film-maker, Amanda Bluglass. The evening will also feature a live performance from Viva.
